“在那遥远的地方，有位好姑娘……”，每当哼起这首歌，我的思绪总会飘向那个位于喜马拉雅山脉南麓的国度——尼泊尔，那个已然成为我第二故乡的地方。
"In the distant land,there lives a nice girl……",whenever I am humming this very song,my train of thoughts will be always drifting to Nepal,a country nestling at the southern foothills of the Himalayas——a place that has already become my second hometown.
2008年初次踏上尼泊尔的土地，扑面而来的是一种既陌生又新奇的气息。加德满都的机场并不大，却充满了热闹的烟火气，仿佛是一个浓缩的小世界，来自不同地方的人们带着各自的故事在此交汇。走出机场，街道上车辆川流不息，摩托车、三轮车、老旧的汽车在狭窄的道路上穿梭，虽然略显混乱，却也有着一种独特的生机与活力。街道两旁，商店林立，色彩斑斓的招牌和琳琅满目的商品让人目不暇接。
When I first set my foot on Nepal in early 2008,a breath of unfamiliar and yet novel atmosphere greeted me upfront.The airport in Kathmandu was not large,but it was full of hustle and bustle of daily life.This small airport seemed to be a highly mimicking of the world where people from different places met with their own backgrounds and stories.Once I was out of the airport,I saw the streets filled with traffic flowing continuously.Motorcycles,tricycles and old cars shuttled on the narrow roads.Although the traffic was slightly chaotic,it presented a unique vigor and vitality.Numerous shops were lined up on both sides of the street.Colorful signboards and a great variety of commodities were overwhelming for the customers.
尼泊尔的传统建筑独具特色，红砖砌成的房屋、精美的木雕门窗，仿佛在诉说着岁月的故事。漫步在古老的街巷中，脚下是凹凸不平的路，空气中弥漫着香料和香火的味道，让人感觉仿佛穿越回到了古代。
The traditional architecture of Nepal was unique.Houses built with red bricks and exquisite wooden carved doors and windows seemed to be telling the stories of the past.Strolling along the ancient streets,with the uneven road and the smell of spices and incense in the air,people felt as if they had traveled back to ancient times.
尼泊尔是一个宗教氛围浓厚的国家。印度教和佛教在这里相互交融，和谐共生。大街小巷随处可见神龛、庙宇，无论是宏伟壮观的杜巴广场上的宫殿庙宇，还是普通民居旁的小型神龛，都承载着尼泊尔人民对神灵的敬畏和信仰。
Nepal is a country with strong religious beliefs,where Hinduism and Buddhism blend and coexist in harmony.Shrines and temples can be seen everywhere in the streets and lanes.From the palaces and temples in the magnificent Durbar Squares or the small shrines close to the ordinary residences,the Nepalese people display their reverence and beliefs in the gods to the fullest extent they could from the bottom of their heart.
每天清晨和傍晚，都能看到人们身着传统服装，手持鲜花、油灯等祭品，前往寺庙朝拜。他们虔诚的面容和专注的神情，让人感受到宗教在他们生活中的重要地位。在博达佛塔，巨大的白色佛塔矗立在那里，周围环绕着转经筒。信徒们默默转动着转经筒，口中念念有词，仿佛在诉说着对生活的祈愿和对未来的憧憬。
Every morning and evening,people can be seen wearing traditional costumes and holding offerings such as flowers and oil lamps,heading to temples to worship.Their focus or rather,their priorities in their daily lives can be reflected from their pious faces and devoted attention in their religious activities.The Bodhnath Stupa,where the huge white stupa stands,is surrounded by prayer wheels.Believers silently turn the prayer wheels murmuring,indicating as if they were expressing a wish for a better life and a bright future.
尼泊尔的民俗文化丰富多彩，各种节日庆典贯穿全年。其中，洒红节是最具特色的节日之一，人们互相泼洒彩色的水和粉末，象征着驱走邪恶、迎接春天的到来。整个城市都沉浸在欢乐和喜庆的氛围中。无论男女老少，都尽情地享受着这个节日的快乐。那一刻，种族、年龄、贫富的界限都被打破，大家共同分享着这份喜悦。还有德赛节，这是尼泊尔最重要的节日，人们会穿上新衣，走亲访友、互相祝福，还有各种传统的仪式和活动，如宰杀牲畜祭祀神灵等，展现了尼泊尔人民对传统文化的传承和尊重。
Nepal's folk culture is rich and colorful,with various festivals and celebrations throughout the year.Among them, Holi is one of the most distinctive festivals.People splash colored water and powder on each other,symbolizing their sincere wish to get rid of evils.At the same time,it is their way of welcoming the arrival of spring.The whole city is immersed in a joyful and festive atmosphere.Regardless of their gender,age,wealth and race,veryone shares the joy together at that very moment.Another most important festival in Nepal is Dashain,in which people wear new clothes,visit relatives and friends,and bless each other.There are also various other traditional rituals and activities,where livestock are slaughtered as their way of worshipping the gods.It is also the Nepalese people's way of inheriting and respecting their traditional culture.
尼泊尔人的生活节奏相对缓慢，他们似乎更懂得享受生活的美好。在乡村，人们日出而作，日落而息，过着简单而充实的农耕生活。在城市，虽然也有现代生活的元素，但人们依然保持着那份淳朴和善良。街头巷尾，常常能看到孩子们在嬉戏玩耍，他们纯真的笑容让人感到无比温暖。尼泊尔的物价相对较低，几元钱就能买到一份美味的小吃，几十元就能住上一晚不错的酒店。在这里，生活似乎变得更加简单和纯粹。
Nepalese people have a relatively slow pace of life,and they seem to know better how to enjoy the beauty of life.In the countryside,people work at sunrise and rest at sunset,living a simple and yet fulfilling agricultural life.In cities,although there are also elements of modern life,people remain to live in simplicity and kindness.In the streets and lanes,children can often be seen playing,and people can feel their extreme warmth from their innocent smiles.The prices in Nepal are relatively low.You can buy a delicious snack for a few yuan,and stay in a good hotel for dozens of yuan.Life here seems to become simpler and purer.
尼泊尔北部是雄伟的喜马拉雅山脉。这里拥有多座世界著名的雪山，如珠穆朗玛峰、安娜普尔纳峰等。站在尼泊尔的土地上，远远望去，雪山连绵起伏，在阳光的照耀下闪耀着金色的光芒，仿佛一幅幅壮丽的画卷展现在眼前。无论是在加德满都的山谷中，还是在博克拉的费瓦湖边，都能看到雪山的美丽身姿，让人不禁感叹大自然的鬼斧神工。
Northern Nepal is home to the majestic Himalayas,which boasts several world-renowned snow-capped mountains such as Mount Everest and Mount Annapurna.Standing on Nepalese soil from here,one can see the snow-capped mountains rolling endlessly afar,shining with golden light under the sunlight,like magnificent pictures unfolding before our eyes.Ranging from the valley of Kathmandu to Phewa Lake in Pokhara,people can see the beautiful figures of the snow-capped mountains,and one cannot stop to be amazed at the great craftsmanship of nature.
奇特旺国家公园是尼泊尔的一颗璀璨明珠，这里是野生动物的乐园。骑着大象在丛林中穿梭，可以看到野生的大象、犀牛、孟加拉虎等珍稀动物在自然环境中自由自在地生活。河流边，成群的鳄鱼在晒太阳，鸟儿在枝头欢快地歌唱，仿佛置身于一个原始的生态世界，让人感受到大自然的神奇和生命的伟大。
Chitwan National Park is a shining pearl of Nepal and a paradise for wild animals.Shuttling through the jungle on an elephant,you can see rare animals such as wild elephants,rhinoceroses and Bengal tigers living freely in their natural environment.By the river,groups of crocodiles are basking in the sun,and birds are singing merrily on the branches,as if you are in a primitive ecological world,empowering you to feel the magic of nature and the greatness of life.

During my days in Nepal,I got to know numerous local friends.Their warmth, hospitality,kindness and simplicity left me deeply touched.I was lucky enough to work with my Chinese colleagues;their smiles and companionship made my life in Nepal more colorful and smoother.Thus,I have developed a deep affection with this piece of land.
如今，虽然我已经离开尼泊尔十年多，但它却永远留在我的心中。那里的山山水水、风土人情、一草一木，都深深地烙印在我的记忆里，每当回忆起在尼泊尔的日子，心中便充满了温暖和感动。我相信，无论我走到哪里，尼泊尔都将是我永远牵挂和眷恋的地方。
Although I have been away from Nepal for more than 10 years now,it will forever remain in my heart.The mountains,rivers,local customs,practices,and every tree and bush there are deeply engraved in my heart and mind.Whenever I recall the days in Nepal,my heart is filled with warmth and gratitude.I believe that no matter where I go,Nepal will always be the part of me and I will forever cherish it.
